by using oda you agree to the points below. they're short because the deal is simple: it's your library, we keep it carefully, don't use it to hurt anyone. oda is in a small testing phase right now — free while we're small, and occasionally rough at the edges.
your library is yours
everything you put in oda — entries, notes, photos — remains yours. you give us only the permission needed to store it and show it to the people your visibility settings allow (public and unlisted shelves are, by definition, visible to others). delete something and that permission ends with it.
your account
sign-in is by email code, so your account is as safe as your inbox. one handle per person, chosen honestly — handles that impersonate someone else or squat a brand can be reclaimed. handles may be released after roughly six months of inactivity.
be a decent guest
don't upload anything illegal, hateful, or that isn't yours to share (that includes other people's private photos). don't scrape, spam, probe, or overload the service. curate covers and quotes the way personal collections always have — respectfully and at personal scale.
third-party sources
search results, covers, and metadata come from public indexes (TMDb, Deezer, Open Library, OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, and friends). they belong to their owners, arrive as-is, and oda isn't endorsed or certified by any of them.
testing phase, honestly
oda is provided as-is, without warranties, while we test with a small group. we work hard not to lose a byte of your library — and you can export it anytime — but we can't yet promise uptime or permanence, and features may change or disappear. if we ever wind the service down, we'll give you notice and time to export.
endings
you can delete your library in settings at any moment — it's immediate and complete. we may suspend accounts that break these terms, ideally after a conversation, not before.
